2025年9月10日，以中国抵抗军探员（@Xyinkl、@irisierend、@Leexiaoyu、@SSSunlight、@C7June、@NanoApe、@genthz、@Kingmos）为核心，与多国友军合作，成功建立了Ingress迄今最长的Link。

Link从中国甘肃玉门延伸至美国阿拉斯加乌纳拉斯卡，距离6881.279958km，仅比理论最长距离6881.2800km短42mm。

历史长距离Link实例

这条Link是一年半筹备与执行的成果。

尽管屡遭挫折，我们始终相信“以诚求真，以行致远”。

一次次交换Key、清除障碍、克服阻挡连线的对手，每一步都是团队心血与汗水的结晶，也是无数旅途与奔走的记录。

第一条Link成功的一瞬间，蓝色轨迹以每小时6881公里的速度穿越虚拟空间——从沙漠风声到草原笛声，从西伯利亚高地雪峰到白令海峡的巨浪。

这条线不仅是游戏地图上的数据连接，更是跨越虚拟与现实、连接无数Agent人生轨迹的无形纽带。它跨越物理距离与虚拟空间，也越过语言壁垒与文化边界。

讽刺的是，行动能够实现，是因为俄乌战争使俄罗斯境内的正常游戏变得困难。本次Link的起点靠近中国古长城的起始处，终点则是二战期间被用作要塞的美国边境岛屿。1987年9月14日，中国发出的第一封电子邮件题为“越过长城，走向世界”。如今，在多国友军帮助下，我们也建立了这样的Link。愿这条Link如38年前的那封邮件一样，带着开放、包容、善意与和平，抵达每一位读到此文的Agent心中。

传说人类试图修建通往天堂、寄托希望的巴别塔时，神让人们说不同语言，阻碍交流，使计划失败。而今天，世界各地的Agent跨越语言与文化差异，合作完成了这条意义深远的Link。它不是巴别塔，也不是通往天堂的道路，却凝聚了5国30余位Agent的坚强意志——团结一致，永不气馁。

附录：距离计算说明

Ⅰ.背景

Link是Ingress的核心机制。每个Portal的最大连线距离称为Range，决定了连线控制的范围。Range取决于Portal上8个Resonator的等级，可用Link Amp放大。

Ⅱ.连线距离公式

根据Ingress Wiki，连线距离按以下公式计算：

连线距离 = 160米 ×（共振器平均等级）⁴ × Link Amp倍率

Ⅲ.Resonator等级示例

所有Resonator均为8级时：按没有最大距离Link Amp的情况计算，约为655.360 km。

Ⅳ.Link Amp倍率

On September 10, 2025, Chinese Resistance Agents (@Xyinkl, @irisierend, @Leexiaoyu, @SSSunlight, @C7June, @NanoApe, @genthz, and @Kingmos), working with allies from multiple countries, successfully created the longest Link yet in Ingress.

The Link stretched from Yumen, Gansu, China, to Unalaska, Alaska, USA, a distance of 6881.279958km—only 42mm short of the theoretical maximum of 6881.2800km.

Historical Long-Distance Links

  • March 14, 2018: North Island, New Zealand–Easter Island, 6881.2775km (2.5m short of the maximum) [OP-Giraffe; reference linked]

  • October 21, 2023: Chiba, Japan–Brisbane, Australia, 6881.2787km (1.3m short) [6881 Link by @itzWindyyy ; reference linked]

  • April 13, 2024: Dunhuang, China–Greenland, 6881.2779km (2.1m short) [OP Hello Arctic; reference linked]

This Link was the result of a year and a half of preparation and execution.

Despite many setbacks, we always believed in 'seeking truth with sincerity, and reaching farther through action'.

Repeated Key exchanges, blocker clearance, and overcoming opponents who obstructed the Link: every step embodied the team's devotion and sweat, and recorded countless journeys and efforts.

The instant the first Link succeeded, a blue trajectory raced through virtual space at 6881 kilometers per hour—from desert winds to the sound of flutes on the grasslands, from Siberian highland snow peaks to the rough waters of the Bering Strait.

This line is more than a data connection on a game map: it is an invisible bond crossing virtual and real worlds and joining the paths of countless Agents' lives. It crossed physical distances and virtual space, as well as linguistic barriers and cultural boundaries.

Ironically, the operation became possible because the Russia–Ukraine war made normal play in Russia difficult. This Link begins near the starting point of China's ancient Great Wall and ends on American frontier islands fortified during World War II. The first email sent from China, on September 14, 1987, was titled 'Across the Great Wall, to the World'. Now, with help from allies in several countries, we too have built such a Link. We hope this Link, like that email 38 years ago, reaches the heart of every Agent reading this with openness, inclusiveness, goodwill, and peace.

Legend says that when humanity tried to build the hopeful Tower of Babel reaching heaven, God made people speak different languages, thwarting communication and causing the project to fail. Today, however, Agents around the world worked across linguistic and cultural differences to complete this meaningful Link. It is neither a Tower of Babel nor a road to heaven, but proof of the resolve of more than 30 Agents in 5 countries: united and never giving up.

This is why Ingress has retained its appeal for 13 years as the world's first LBS (location-based services) AR game.

This passion and unity sustain the Ingress community's vitality.

This longest Link in the game's history, only 42 millimeters short of the limit, crystallizes countless efforts and passions.

We engraved a Link of 99.9999993896% of the maximum length into the IITC map and the depths of our memories, as an indelible, eternal connection.

Appendix: Distance Calculation

I. Background

Linking is a core Ingress mechanic; each Portal's maximum linking distance, called its Range, determines the reach of Link control. Range depends on the levels of the Portal's 8 Resonators and can be amplified with Link Amps.

II. Link Range Formula

According to Ingress Wiki, Link range is calculated as follows:

Link range = 160 m × (average resonator level)⁴ × Link Amp multiplier

III. Resonator-Level Example

With all Resonators at level 8: calculating without a maximum-distance Link Amp gives approximately 655.360 km.

IV. Link Amp Multipliers

Ingress calculates distances using a spherical Earth model rather than the more precise WGS-84 ellipsoid. Specifically, it uses the Haversine formula to calculate great-circle distance on a sphere. The formula is:

Here, ϕ is latitude, λ is longitude, R is Earth's radius in kilometers, and d is the surface distance between the two points. For convenience, Ingress approximates Earth's mean radius with the following value:

R = 6367 km

This is an intermediate mean between the equatorial radius (about 6378.1 km) and polar radius (about 6356.8 km).

このLinkの誕生は、1年半にもわたる準備と実行の成果です。

数多くの挫折がありましたが、私たちは常に「誠実に真実を求め、行動で遠くへ進む」ことを信じていました。

何度もキーの交換を重ね、障害の除去を行い、リンクを妨害する相手を乗り越え、一歩一歩がチームの心血と汗の結晶であり、数えきれない旅と奔走の記録でもあります。

最初のLinkが成功した瞬間、青の軌跡が仮想空間を時速で6881キロメートルも駆け抜けました——砂漠の風の音から草原の笛の響きに、西伯利亚の高地雪峰からベーリン海峡の荒波まで。

この線は単なるゲームマップ上のデータの連結ではなく、仮想と現実を越え、無数のAgentの生活軌跡をつなぐ目に見えない絆です。物理的な距離と仮想空間を越え、言語の壁や文化の境界も超えました。

皮肉なことに、この行動が実現したのはロシア・ウクライナ間の戦争の影響でロシア内での正常なプレイが困難になったためです。今回のLinkの起点は古代中国の長城の始まり近くに位置し、終点は第二次世界大戦中に要塞として使われたアメリカの国境の島々です。1987年9月14日、中国が送信した最初の電子メールの題名は「長城を越え、世界へ」でした。今、多国間の友軍の助けを借りて、私たちもこのようなLinkを築きました。このLinkが38年前のあのメールのように、開放性、包容力、善意、そして平和を持って、これを読むすべてのAgentの心に届くことを願っています。
