@Lkniyx是个纽约蓝军，一个错过了16-18年游戏巅峰期的纽约蓝军。
可能也是现在Big Apple最后的一个活跃蓝军。
前几日，@Lkniyx通过NeuraLink脑电载波形式，把本文传送给了地球对面的天津蓝军@Xyinkl。
@Xyinkl读了觉得很赞，翻译后分享给大家。希望大家无论蓝绿，还是飞机，都能读出几分滋味。

众位客官，我们开始，纽约的故事。

序章
纽约，曾经的绿城。
直到@Lkniyx在2018年带着一块BoostedBoard电动滑板杀回来。自此，纽约逐渐由绿转蓝。
蓝到现在，只有@Lkniyx一人在每天上号出log，和@Anihcam相爱相杀。
那些曾经活跃的绿军ID，从此越来越少出现，以至到了路过绿Po都舍不得打的程度。

至于曾经的蓝绿冲突，曾有耳闻，但确实无从考证。既没有老人，也没有新人。就这么一个人的玩，仿佛是个单机游戏。
@Lkniyx出生点极佳，在NYU校园内，所以升级颇为速度。截至目前已经攒够了4亿AP，转生了9次，成了彻彻底底的老玩家。值得一提的是，2017年，曾经就有一片碎片落到了NYU校园中心的NY广场上，当时@Lkniyx在AFK，彻底错过了当时的盛况。据说华盛顿的蓝军和绿军倾巢出动，NY广场上异彩纷呈。

因为不玩战略，对于纽约城附近的战略Po也没深入研究过，只知道纽约城往东50公里，在长滩有Po名唤Globe，只有一个@Ppauzi的蓝军能进去，其他蓝绿，凡是试图进入都会吃到闭门羹。
附近城市的友军，华盛顿来的、波士顿来的、费城来的，时不时也会给一些Globe的Key，所以@Lkniyx找机会也偶尔连一两条过去。
此之为序。
LA碎片
5月24日，@Lkniyx不远千里，去加州参加了碎片战。好好的体验了一下加州风情。
临走在群内许愿，说“西边沿海有了LA碎片，东边沿海也可以有！DC太官僚了不合适，欢迎碎片来NY！”
不想，一语成谶。
回旋镖
5月28日，周三中午，NY碎片的消息公布。而且NY碎片的出生点恰好就在蓝军战略—Globe。
回旋镖，结结实实的，扎到了脑袋。
被各个聊天软件好几个群反复at的@Lkniyx此刻开始犯难，
原因很简单：这NY本地活跃玩家满打满算只有俩——@Lkniyx和@Anihcam
准备时间只有周四、周五两个整天。这可怎么碎片战。怎么战前准备。
毕竟一周前看加州的@Dadxof可是三天三晚在活动点附近做准备，极其辛苦。

联系了唯一有车且活跃一点的@IldrahciR，结果说在德州旅游。
这下好，自己一不开车，二没有其他本地友军协助。真就是孤立无援。
难不成去找那个整天约饭为乐，自诩为NY蓝军约饭皇帝的@Omomuin?
（后来发现叫了也没用，因为约饭皇帝当时在巡游印第安部落，考察史前遗迹中
先拉了四个群
不管了，无论要干什么，码人都是第一。
能来的，有可能来的，都进了4群[公共大群]。60人。
有车的，开车来的，都进了3群[车主群]。13人。
东海岸活跃蓝军Leader们进了2群[沟通群]。9人。
最后拉了个策划的1群[策划Intel群]。10人。
虽然不知道其他碎片战都怎么拉的群，反正就这么稀里糊涂拉了四个。
说是碎片当天需要开Zoom，于是10刀没了。（无他，Zoom免费版有时间限制
试图进入Globe，但失败
碎片出生点虽然后来被改到了附近公园的Po：Turtle上
但是当时Globe上依然留存了很多Link，且长久以来就是蓝色战略。东海岸很多人都有这个Po的Key。
如果能联系上原来的Po主进入Globe，那只要牢牢控制住这个Po，十二点第一跳把碎片射到Globe，那第二跳主场在蓝，无疑会十分主动。
可惜原来的Po主@Ppauzi已经失联，通过各种手段都联系不上。

在狠狠做了一番功课之后，策划组的人才弄清，原来Globe这个蓝军战略Po，是在一个化工厂的园区内。
距离大门也不远，100m左右。但是众所周知，为了安全，化工厂本身就是有严格准入规程的。
不是随随便便“借个厕所/送外卖/看房/我哥在里面我去看他”这种寻常的借口能进去的。
可能这也是@Ppauzi能够维持这个Po好几年的原因。

没办法，只能自己想办法了。毕竟@Lkniyx也在NY混了十几年了，要找些关系，也是有的。（没想到阿美莉卡也是个人情社会）
经过一通搜刮，联系到了这个化工厂上级集团公司的人。
可是得有个借口啊，总不能说”这周六闲的没事，就想去一个毫不相干的化工厂坐坐“吧？这么说谁信啊？
在@Wobniarwons的建议下，@Lkniyx虚构了一个”远房亲戚的孩子学化工专业，正在找工作，于是想去考察一下化工行业工作环境“的故事。
眼见借口有了，于是@Lkniyx开始打电话Networking（又称”找关系“）。
电话那头虽然接受了这个理由，但是转头说：“你来的不是时候，上周GoldMill有个化工厂刚发生爆炸事故，现在管得很严。你要是说带一群学生来参观，我们这安排会上通过一下，应该没问题。但是你要说就带一个，这个就不太现实。”
这下，原本觉得信心满满的@Lkniyx没了主意。
一两个学生还能随便抓，也真的各取所需。毕竟毕业季的学生，多看看，多走走，没啥不好的。
但是，要精准的在三天后的11点到2点安排哪怕20人规模的参观。可能只有遥远的东方大国在特殊情况下实行小型动员才能搞定了。再补一句，当天还刚好是假期第一天。

周三晚，绿军@Kiinave将Globe炸至残脚，所有Link全部掉光。
这下蓝军既进不去，也无法把碎片射到Globe求一个随机跳跃了。
情况无疑十分的不好。己方无机动人员、无行动方案，对方又先下手为强，看起来行动力又超级强。
事已至此，做个NameCard吧
上周参加LA的碎片战，就没有名牌。
虽然确实时间紧一点，恐怕是来不及。
但是@Lkniyx好歹也耍的一手Adobe大全套。
周三晚，得知搞不定地球仪Passcode之后，在11点开始搞NameCard，做完已是凌晨3点。
[1~5公里] +1分；[100公里+] +3分做完了，今天中午就印。津南／葛沽／小站／团泊／中塘／小王庄
于是就有了NY碎片的蓝军名牌。这可能是周三唯一的成果。
（此处大喇叭：没有参加AfterParty所以没领到的Agents可以补领，或者委托别人，来NY的，都可以补领。）

1.拉4个群、拉人。Zoom充值。
2.联系本地可出动蓝军，无人。
3.联系@Ppauzi，无应答。
4.联系其他渠道进入Globe，失败。
5.做了个蓝军名牌，成功。
“蓝军策划组不对刚才发生的飞机袭击负责”
周四凌晨，绿军@Reliartrats如幽灵般先后光顾了附近300公里内好几处点位，连了很多Block。
眼见绿军如此勤奋，@Lkniyx在请了周五一天的假之后，又坐回了工位继续水群，和策划组讨论如何想办法干掉Jade Island这个当时最重要的绿军战略Po。
当时蓝军战略Globe已经废掉，如果放着Jade Island不管，那只要绿军把碎片射过去，那基本就是蓝军输了。

到了下午，群内突传噩耗，Jade Island被“蓝军”打了。
看ID很明显是个飞机，并且是个早就被@Lkniyx观测并记录在案的蓝色飞机。
这下群里突然有点乱，这下怎么撇得清。
@Lkniyx脑子里突然划过那句——“X组织不对刚才发生在Y的恐怖袭击负责”
（原来这句话表达的是这个意思：当别人认为是你干的，但是确实不是你干的，那么这个时候似乎确实能说一句这个，也只能说一句这个了。
蓝军确实有打掉Jade Island的计划，也确实都准备好人和车了，卫星图也都仔细看过了，甚至都准备好当地的渔民联系方式了。(是个岛嘛，本来寻思陆路不行就走水路

但是Jade Island偏偏以这种方式被打掉，还是彻彻底底给蓝军策划组打了个措手不及。
无独有偶，不，是无独有五。除了飞掉Jade Island的那个飞机外，另外4架飞机也被观测到，三蓝一绿。
这下真就成了飞机大战。蓝色4：绿色1。
@Lkniyx愿意相信这架绿飞机不是绿军集体决策后的行为，就像这4架蓝飞机也非蓝军策划组的意愿一样。
商量之后，蓝军策划组觉得，这个Jade Island 还是得派人去一趟，即便已经被打。
如果不去人，这个黑锅就背定了（当然。即便隔天去了人，这黑锅也在绿军的稿子里背上了）
天降小蓝の最硬核的入门一天
这时候，之前仅面过一次的Level5小蓝@ReviRderelprup联系上了@Lkniyx，
说听说这周末有活动？周五应该没事，可以帮忙做点什么。
天助@Lkniyx也。如果没有@ReviRderelprup，@Lkniyx大概率是得自己租车的。
（但是毕竟拿本6年，实际驾驶里程不超500公里，多少心里发虚）
现在突然有个开车的队友，总归是好事。虽然目前还只有5级。
于是@Lkniyx说，那这样，周四下班你就来NYU新校区，我带你先升到8级。
然后你带上身份证，咱晚上可能就住外面了。
这话说出来有点怪怪的，毕竟俩人只有一面之缘。但是@ReviRderelprup同意了。

与此同时，联系另一个NY蓝军@Ydnaceruza也有了回应，他最近在华盛顿，本来准备周六再来参加碎片。
但是鉴于目前时间空闲，就被@Lkniyx一张火车票直接薅到了纽约。
周四下午4点半，@Lkniyx下班，跟@ReviRderelprup汇合，开始带着升8。
随后又接上@Ydnaceruza去薅了碎片Po：Turtle的200把key。
薅完Key，已经是凌晨1点。

三人又前往波士顿，@Ydnaceruza回家住，之后在波士顿机动。
巧的是@Lkniyx家也在波士顿，但有家不能回，
只能和@ReviRderelprup开了个房间，3点睡下了。
@Lkniyx日志本 5.29 星期四
1.出现4蓝1绿，五架飞机。
2.绿军很活跃
3.联系上@Ydnaceruza和@ReviRderelprup，三人做了战前准备。
4.把@Ydnaceruza放在波士顿家中，待命。
5.和@ReviRderelprup住下，准备周五直奔Jade Island。
一碗朝鲜面，以及误入Jade Island
周五早7点，@Lkniyx醒了。@ReviRderelprup醒的更早，在处理工作。
@Lkniyx 一看群：这都周五了，依然没有战术被商量出来。
于是趴在床上，拜托了@Uohzavarac和@Reggibelgna负责战略Key统计和分组。
然后还拜托了@Redanomel 写了一个到达及交通注意事项。
衷心感谢以上三位的战前支援。

周五早9点，三人集合，去吃了波士顿当地特色早点——朝鲜面。
这是一种传统朝鲜冷面的变体。热面，咸口，配上几撮辣白菜，绝了！老波士顿人都爱吃。
可惜选的第一家太过正宗，三人找了快一个小时车位，硬是没找到地方停车。
于是被迫找了另外一家。这家供应极具特色的“宾州风味波士顿朝鲜面”，可谓博采众长。
吃完朝鲜面，已经接近12点了。@Lkniyx和@ReviRderelprup出发。
先去了打了波士顿站还有波士顿北站的绿Po，然后正式奔赴Jade Island。

车程不算长，也就150公里。@ReviRderelprup开车，@Lkniyx在后座打开笔记本继续干活。
顺便给@Dagendeng在内的三个华盛顿友军申请了巴纳德学院的入校。（巴纳德的故事下文会展开。
毕竟是巴纳德准毕业生。申请个亲友入校还是方便的。

两人还在半路，下午一点多，新消息传来：绿军@DHQyhpruM恢复了Jade Island。
当时群里想的是，恢复了也好，毕竟我们的人都在路上了，这下如果再打掉，绿军就没啥好说的了。

3点半左右，两人终于到达了这个在地图上标识着“Restricted access”（不对外开放）的Jade Island。
车开到一处门口，门是半开的。虽然可以过车，但是@ReviRderelprup有点犹豫，就把车停在门外了。
换@Lkniyx独自进去。目测距离Jade Island只有最后900m。

@Lkniyx于是穿过了第一道铁门。过了200m，又看到另一道大门。
门挺普通，但是门上的牌子很不普通。
因为@Lkniyx看的很清楚，红底白字写的是——
"Entering a military restricted area without authorization is illegal."（军事禁区 擅入违法）
说时迟，但是那门确实也是半开的。
@Lkniyx虽然有一丝疑惑，但是还是壮着胆子继续往前了。

@Lkniyx依然选择了视而不见。

眼看着scanner中的Jade Island已经进入视野了。
此时，迎面有一个短发，穿着迷彩T恤黑哥，骑着一个电动车迎面过来，看见@Lkniyx，照面的一瞬间问"What are you here for?"（你来干什么的?）
@Lkniyx被问的一愣，就说"Nothing, just walked in by chance."（不干什么，路过的）
然后俩人相向擦肩而过，@Lkniyx继续往前走了几米，黑哥停下，回头说“This is military restricted area, you can not be here”（这是军事管理区，你不能进来）
@Lkniyx十分想装作自己没听到，因为只要往前再走200m就能毒掉Jade Island了。
但是往前看50m，有3道拒马，就是那种关卡式的路障。隔着三道拒马，里面有三个身穿灰白迷彩、戴帽子的哥们也在看着@Lkniyx。
情况大概就是这样，AI制图，细节略有出入，但是时间地点人物齐全。
@Lkniyx眼看是摸不到Po了，在一个兵和三个兵之间，选择了一个。转头望向黑哥。说"What did you say?"（你说什么来着？）
黑哥面无表情，重复了一遍。“This is military restricted area, you can not be here”（这是军事管理区，你不能进来）
@Lkniyx于是开始辩解“Emm, really? I dont know, It used to be a tourist site,right? And the door is open, so”（我不造啊，真的么。这不是个旅游区来着么，门也是开的）
黑哥说“Since 5 years ago, its been taken. Now its restricted.Somebody just went out, I'm about to close the doors“（五年前就不是了，刚有人出去了，我是来锁门的。）
【请注意这个五年，这意味着2020年5月前后，Jade Island已经军管。】（@Xyinkl注）
@Lkniyx于是只能说"Alright, alright, I got it. I'll leave immediately"（好的好的我知道了，我马上走）
言毕，转头就撤。
于是黑哥开始护送@Lkniyx出门，出了那道红白相间牌子的门，就停住不走了。
@Lkniyx赶紧继续往外走，见到@ReviRderelprup赶紧招呼开车跑路。这鬼地方，真的一秒都不想多呆。
两人回到NY已经是晚上7点，想起两人前一天也刚好是晚上7点出发的。
24小时内，奔袭了快500公里，同时睡了不足4小时。
对于小蓝@ReviRderelprup来说，也是过于硬核的入门体验了。

俩人一顿唏嘘。一起在NYU吃了个晚饭，然后各自回家。
此时已是周五晚上8点，@Lkniyx回了宿舍，浅睡了半个小时，然后准时在9点爬起来开会。
此时此刻，蓝军除了分好了地面组之外，对转天碎片的战术规划，还几乎是一张白纸。
为了扰乱绿军的视线，@Lkniyx出了门，一边听着Zoom里面七嘴八舌的规划，一边在附近点薯条，假装在薅Key。
毕竟NYU新校区距离碎片地点也就40公里。还是具备一定战略区位优势的。
会议九点开始，一点结束。总算有了个大概战术。
@Lkniyx回到NYU已经是一点半，洗洗睡了。

巴纳德学院（Barnard College）操场的一天
巴纳德学院，和NYU同样坐落于NYC。
虽然水平也是稀烂，全美排名20开外。不过总是有事没事的忆往昔，说自己当初如何如何跟哥大组成联盟。
在入校管理上，BC和NYU完全不同，
NYU主打一个民不举官不究，只要前面有人刷脸进门，这个道闸开启的三秒内，足够5个人跟进去了。
BC则不然，体现一个安保齐全，门户森严。进门必有保安验明正身。想混进去？门儿都没有。

之所以给@DagenDeng在内的三个华府友军申请入校，就是想利用巴纳德学院门户极严的特点。
巴纳德学院距离碎片出生点30多公里，虽然碎片跳跃过来肯定是不会得分。但是一旦进来，蓝军就会有极大的优势。
虽然绿军也可以找学生申请入校，但是@Lkniyx有把握能合理合法带进来6个人。人数上不会吃亏的。
@Lkniyx 一大早就到了巴纳德学院的操场，带着便携屏、笔记本和一堆充电宝。
中间还下了一阵雷阵雨。被迫躲到了看台架子下面
听着Zoom会议里的各种战况，从10点多守到了5点。期间@ReviRderelprup出去跑了几个点，送了一些Key。
到末了，碎片也没用上巴纳德学院。暂时做block倒是用上了三两次。

无所谓了，只要不需要跑东跑西就可以了。
已经连着三天睡不到5个小时，
翘了一天班，跑了500公里，跟兵哥儿说了句Sorry，
还花30刀做了100张名牌
感冒全面恶化，到周五嗓子已经哑了。

关于Jade Island
封闭Po有很多，官方没有禁止玩家申请一些不好到达的点位。
比如，你可以在南极科考站申Po，想摸这个Po，你就得想办法上到南极科考船。
这也是Ssergni硬核的点。
但是，总有但是。

这次的碎片战中，相比较于蓝军位于化工厂的战略Po：Globe，绿军战略：Jade Island的问题就要严重的多。
前者@Lkniyx还能组织学生参观借以进去。
但是后者，@Lkniyx觉得实在没有借口，也不应该有借口去尝试进去。难不成要投笔从戎，还要点名去这个基地？（当年虽然Scotfield故意抢银行，然后庭上要求去Fox River监狱救他哥。但那™是拍电视剧啊。
或许有绿军会拿另一个被飞掉的蓝军战略“Police Academy Canteen”举例，说你看这个不也是封闭Po么。
可区别在于，那虽然也跟暴力机构相关，但是毕竟是个学院，提申请是可以合理进去的。
即便你半夜翻墙，顶多也就是个批评教育，也不会吃上花生米。

但是，Jade Island，想进去的想法本身就足够给普通人带来麻烦了。
无论是顶着那一路的摄像头进去，还是走旁边的树林，都为吃花生米提供了绝佳的理由。
自由美利坚的兵哥儿们，面对一个故意擅闯禁区的人，清空弹夹也是可能的，不是么？

Jade Island原本是个旅游区，这点从这个Po仅存的三张图片可窥一二。
曾经的Po图中，有很多车，很多人。
但现在，已然不是了。
三张图，三个绿色ID，已经有两个不在系统中了。
如果说Po也讲究身世，那Jade Island无疑算不上清白。

据蓝军@JP68001回忆，他和另一位蓝军特工，在2019年4月的一个凌晨，为了Dark XM成就牌，半夜钻洞进入过Jade Island。
彼时Jade Island已经是封闭状态，且有了那块红底白字的牌子，但二人并未遇到其他阻拦，也没见到一路的摄像头。
按这个时间点推算，在更早的6年前的2019年，Jade Island便已经是禁区了。
可能当时还封禁程度不高，加之是深夜，所以二人既未看到摄像头，也未遇到其他阻拦。

那么@Lkniyx便不禁发问：
在这个Po已经不是旅游区的6年内，绿军@DHQyhpruM，或者其他人，是怎么进去的呢？
尤其是在碎片战前一天的5月30日下午1点，@DHQyhpruM是怎么进去，并且恢复了被蓝色飞机打掉的Jade Island？

鉴于有很大概率不会得到正面回复，以下只能分两种情况讨论：
1.正大光明进去的，这意味着绿军@DHQyhpruM就是管制禁区的一份子：
那么问题来了，在美军禁区和外部人员里应外合，泄露军事机密，不怕上军事法庭吗？
Ssergni可是东方大国挖为开发的LBS游戏，你在这么关键的位置，还这么胳膊肘往外拐，Trump大统领答应吗？
而且绿军@DHQyhpruM甚至是这个Po的Scout Controller。
众所周知，扫描功能在2020年推出。这时Jade Island早已军管。
那么我们想象一个场景，绿军@DHQyhpruM拿起一台可以直连东方大国的手机，缓慢扫描禁区地理环境。
上传数据到东大著名的挖为公司的Ssergni数据库做建模，天知道这个行为违背了多少条例。
不觉得这等身份，做出这种行为。这本身就已经出离之矛盾、十分之离谱了么？

2.绿军@DHQyhpruM也是靠飞的：
那么问题就是，既然6年间，绿军已经在用飞机维持这个战略Po
完全不介意从事这种过程上不正义、结果上很危险的行径
绿军又有何颜面在周四凌晨三点发文
气哄哄的痛骂突然出现的蓝色飞机打掉了Jade Island呢？

此外，无论是否开飞机，绿军@DHQyhpruM，请问你是否预见过一种可能性：
在政治如此正确的美利坚，如果有个别头铁的agent（不论蓝绿），
在尝试进入你维持的这个战略Po：Jade Island的过程中，遇到任何形式的暴力对待，付出了任何意义上的代价。
比如被扣下，被投入管制所，被扣上”行走的7万刀“的大帽子，被喂花生米。
你不会有任何负罪感吗？
如果TA在被审讯的过程中交代出了你。
我想TA没有任何理由隐瞒你的存在吧，毕竟那是他想要到Jade Island的唯一理由
那你还能独善其身多久？
那一定会是军纪检查，内部整肃。
5月30日下午1点前后出入Jade Island的有几个人呢？真的很难查吗？

或许那个情况下，你该希望自己完完全全就是个飞机佬。
因为这样只是背负虚拟空间的骂名，不会有任何的现实后果。

那么基于以上事实以及一点点常识，@Lkniyx对Jade Island的猜测是这样：
曾经，Jade Island只是一个处于海滩的旅游区，
绿军一开始申请，考虑地处偏远，把它当做战略。
薅Key，散Key，东海岸绿军人手好几把Key。
毕竟，最近的城镇也得20公里，大城市出发需要一百多公里才能到达。
说远不远，但是也足够成为战略Po了。
但是从至少2019年起，Jade Island变成管制区域，绿军也进不去了。
此时绿军@DHQyhpruM应声出现，成了那个唯一一个能进去的人。
但是知情绿军却不以为意，依旧把这个可能给双方带来麻烦的Po当做战略，甚至引以为豪。
@Lkniyx 不知道除了@DHQyhpruM 之外，还有哪个绿军牵涉其中。
但在这件事上，@DHQyhpruM 绝对难辞其咎。

如果是不知情的绿军，被这样告知

Possibly the last active blue agent in the Big Apple today.
A few days ago, @Lkniyx transmitted this article by NeuraLink brainwave carrier to Tianjin Resistance’s @Xyinkl on the other side of the Earth.
@Xyinkl thought it excellent and translated it to share with everyone. May blue, green, and even spoofers all find something to savor.
As the verses say:
All praise the sweetness of leisure; who, given leisure, will let himself rest? It is not that rest is beyond us—a Shard is no idle thing.
Waiting for intelligence, sleep comes in the third watch; armored generals cross the pass by night. The sun stands high while mountain monks still sleep—perhaps neither victory nor defeat is worth their peace.
Incompetent commanders ruin affairs of state; the armies spend themselves in toil. The vanguard has not moved, yet soldiers die; generals grasping for glory invite disaster.

Prologue
New York was once a green city.
Until @Lkniyx came storming back in 2018 on a BoostedBoard electric skateboard. From then on, New York gradually turned from green to blue.
So blue now that only @Lkniyx logs in and leaves daily activity, locked in a love-hate struggle with @Anihcam.
The once-active green IDs appeared less and less, until green Portals became so rare that he could hardly bear to attack one he passed.

He had heard of past blue-green conflicts, but had no way to verify them. There were neither veterans nor newcomers. He played alone, almost as though it were a single-player game.
@Lkniyx had an excellent spawn point inside NYU’s campus, so leveling was quick. By now he had accumulated 400 million AP and Recursed nine times, a veteran through and through. Worth noting: in 2017, a Shard landed in NY Square at the center of NYU’s campus, but @Lkniyx was AFK and missed the spectacle entirely. Supposedly Washington’s blue and green agents turned out in force, filling NY Square with color.

Not being a strategic player, he had never studied the anchors around New York in depth. He only knew of Globe, a Portal in Long Beach 50 kilometers east of the city, accessible to one Resistance agent, @Ppauzi; every other blue or green agent who tried was turned away.
Allies visiting from Washington, Boston, and Philadelphia occasionally supplied Globe Keys, so @Lkniyx would sometimes throw a Link or two there.
So much for the prologue.
LA Shards
On May 24, @Lkniyx traveled a great distance to California for a Shard battle. He got a proper taste of California.
Before leaving, he made a wish in the group: “The west coast has LA Shards; the east coast can have them too! DC is too bureaucratic. Bring the Shards to NY!”
Little did he know his words would come back to haunt him.
The Boomerang
At noon on Wednesday, May 28, NY Shards were announced. And the spawn point was precisely the blue strategic anchor: Globe.
The boomerang lodged squarely in his skull.
Repeatedly tagged across groups on several messaging apps, @Lkniyx began to worry.
The reason was simple: NY had, generously counted, just two active locals—@Lkniyx and @Anihcam.
Only two full days, Thursday and Friday, to prepare. How were they to fight a Shard battle? How could they prepare?
Just a week earlier, California’s @Dadxof had spent three days and nights preparing around the event site. It had been punishing.

He contacted the only reasonably active local with a car, @IldrahciR. Off touring Texas, came the reply.
Wonderful: he neither drove nor had other locals to help. Truly alone and unsupported.
Could he ask @Omomuin, who spent his days arranging meals and styled himself NY Resistance’s Dining Emperor?
(It turned out asking would have been useless: the Dining Emperor was touring Indigenous communities and inspecting prehistoric ruins.
First, Four Chat Groups
Never mind. Whatever came next, gathering people came first.
Everyone coming or possibly coming joined Group 4 [General]. 60 people.
Car owners and drivers joined Group 3 [Drivers]. 13 people.
Active East Coast Resistance leaders joined Group 2 [Coordination]. 9 people.
Finally, Group 1 [Planning/Intel]. 10 people.
He had no idea how other Shard battles organized their chats, but somehow these four now existed.
Apparently they needed Zoom on the day, so there went ten dollars. (The free version has a time limit, that’s all.
Trying—and Failing—to Enter Globe
The Shard spawn was later moved to Turtle, a Portal in a nearby park.
But Globe still had many Links and had long been a blue anchor. Many East Coast agents held its Key.
If they could reach the old owner and enter Globe, hold it firmly, and send the Shard there at the first noon jump, blue would have home advantage for the second jump—an excellent position.
Sadly, the old owner, @Ppauzi, was out of contact; every attempt failed.

Only after some serious homework did the planners discover that Globe sat inside a chemical plant’s grounds.
Not far from the gate, about 100 m. But everyone knows chemical plants have strict access procedures for safety.
You could not get in with the usual “borrow the toilet/deliver food/view a property/visit my brother inside” excuses.
Perhaps that explained how @Ppauzi had held it for years.

Nothing for it: find his own way. After over a decade in NY, @Lkniyx did have connections to call on. (Who knew America was a society of personal favors too?)
After a thorough search, he reached someone at the plant’s parent group.
But he needed a reason: “Nothing to do this Saturday, so I fancy sitting around an unrelated chemical plant” wouldn’t do, would it? Who would believe that?
On @Wobniarwons’s suggestion, @Lkniyx invented a story: a distant relative’s child, studying chemical engineering and job-hunting, wanted to see the industry’s working environment.
Reason in hand, @Lkniyx began phoning for “networking,” also known as pulling strings.
The person accepted the explanation, then said: “Bad timing. A chemical plant in GoldMill exploded last week, and controls are very strict now. If you brought a group of students, we could probably approve it at a meeting. But just one student? That’s not very realistic.”
That left the previously confident @Lkniyx at a loss.
One or two students would be easy enough to find, and both sides would benefit. Graduating students lose nothing by seeing more of the world.
But organizing even a twenty-person visit precisely from eleven to two, three days later, Might require a small emergency mobilization by that great country in the East. And, one more thing: that day happened to be the first day of a holiday.

On Wednesday night, Enlightened agent @Kiinave blasted Globe down to a few remaining Resonators, dropping every Link.
Now blue could neither enter nor send a Shard to Globe in hopes of a random jump.
The situation was plainly bad. No mobile personnel, no operation plan, and an opponent who had struck first and appeared extremely capable.
Well, Let’s Make Name Cards
At last week’s LA Shards, there had been no name badges.
Time was admittedly tight; perhaps it was already too late.
But @Lkniyx did know his way around the full Adobe suite.
After learning on Wednesday night that Globe’s “passcode” was beyond reach, he began the name cards at eleven and finished at three in the morning.

And so NY Shards had Resistance name badges. Perhaps Wednesday’s only achievement.

1. Created four groups and recruited people. Paid for Zoom.
2. Contacted available local blue agents. Nobody.
3. Contacted @Ppauzi. No reply.
4. Tried other channels to enter Globe. Failed.
5. Made Resistance name badges. Success.
“The Resistance Planning Team Claims No Responsibility for the Spoofing Strike That Just Occurred”
Early Thursday, Enlightened agent @Reliartrats visited several sites within 300 kilometers like a ghost, throwing numerous blocking Links.
Seeing such diligence, @Lkniyx took Friday off, then returned to his desk to chat with the planners about removing Jade Island, then ENL’s most important anchor.
With Globe already out of action, leaving Jade Island alone meant blue would effectively lose the moment green sent the Shard there.

That afternoon, bad news suddenly broke in the group: “Resistance” had hit Jade Island.
The ID made it clearly a spoofer, a blue one @Lkniyx had long observed and documented.
The group fell into confusion. How were they to clear themselves of this?
A phrase flashed through @Lkniyx’s mind: “Organization X denies responsibility for the terrorist attack that just occurred at Y.”
(So that is what the phrase means: when everyone thinks you did it, but you really didn’t, that seems like something you can say—and about all you can say.
Resistance did plan to take down Jade Island. People and a car were ready, satellite imagery had been carefully studied, even local fishermen’s contact details obtained. (It was an island; if land access failed, they intended to try by water.

But having Jade Island fall this way still caught the planning team completely off guard.
It did not come alone—no, it came in five. Apart from the Jade Island spoofer, four others were observed: three blue, one green.
Now it truly was an air war. Blue 4: green 1.
@Lkniyx is willing to believe the green spoofer was not the result of a collective ENL decision, just as the four blue ones did not act at the Resistance planning team’s wish.
After discussion, the team decided someone must still visit Jade Island, even though it had already been hit.
Without a visit, they would certainly take the blame. (Of course, Even after visiting the next day, they were still blamed in the green write-up.)
A New Blue Agent Falls from Heaven—and Gets the Most Hardcore First Day
At that point, Level 5 blue newcomer @ReviRderelprup, whom he had met only once, contacted @Lkniyx.
He’d heard there was an event this weekend? Friday should be free; could he help?
Heaven was helping @Lkniyx. Without @ReviRderelprup, @Lkniyx would probably have had to rent a car himself.
(Six years with a license, under 500 kilometers actually driven—he was understandably nervous.)
A teammate who could drive was welcome news. Even if he was only Level 5.
So @Lkniyx said: come to NYU’s new campus after work Thursday, and I’ll get you to Level 8 first.
Bring your ID too; we might stay out overnight.
It sounded a little odd, considering they had met only once. But @ReviRderelprup agreed.

Meanwhile, another NY blue agent, @Ydnaceruza, replied. He was in Washington and had planned to arrive Saturday for Shards.
Since he was free now, @Lkniyx bought him a train ticket and hauled him straight to New York.
At 4:30 Thursday afternoon, @Lkniyx finished work, met @ReviRderelprup, and began the push to Level 8.
They then picked up @Ydnaceruza and farmed 200 Keys to the Shard Portal, Turtle.
By the time they finished, it was one in the morning.

The three continued to Boston; @Ydnaceruza went home and would remain mobile there.
As it happened, @Lkniyx’s family home was also in Boston, but he could not go home.
He and @ReviRderelprup took a room and went to bed at three.
@Lkniyx’s log, Thursday, May 29
1. Five spoofers appeared: four blue, one green.
2. ENL very active.
3. Reached @Ydnaceruza and @ReviRderelprup; the three of us prepared for the battle.
4. Left @Ydnaceruza at home in Boston, on standby.
5. Stayed over with @ReviRderelprup, ready to head straight to Jade Island Friday.
A Bowl of Korean Noodles, and a Wrong Turn into Jade Island
At seven Friday morning, @Lkniyx woke. @ReviRderelprup had risen even earlier and was dealing with work.
@Lkniyx checked the group: Friday already, and still no tactics agreed.
Lying on the bed, he asked @Uohzavarac and @Reggibelgna to handle the strategic Key inventory and team assignments.
He also asked @Redanomel to write arrival and transport guidance.
Sincere thanks to all three for their pre-battle support.

At nine Friday morning, the three met for a Boston breakfast specialty: Korean noodles.
A variation on traditional Korean cold noodles. Served hot and savory with a few pinches of spicy cabbage—superb! Old Bostonians love it.
Unfortunately, their first choice was too authentic: nearly an hour of searching still produced no parking space.
They had to choose another place. It served the distinctive “Pennsylvania-style Boston Korean noodles,” a true synthesis of traditions.
By the time they finished, it was nearly noon. @Lkniyx and @ReviRderelprup set off.
First they attacked the green Portals at Boston Station and Boston North Station, then properly headed for Jade Island.

Not a long drive, just 150 kilometers. @ReviRderelprup drove while @Lkniyx opened his laptop in the back and continued working.
He also applied for Barnard College entry for three Washington allies, including @Dagendeng. (More on Barnard later.
He was about to graduate from Barnard, after all. Guest entry for friends and family was easy enough to arrange.

Still on the road, sometime after one, they received news: ENL’s @DHQyhpruM had restored Jade Island.
The group’s thinking was: fine, restoration is good. Our people are already on the road; if they take it down again, green will have nothing to say.

Around 3:30, the two of them finally reached Jade Island, marked “Restricted access” on the map.
The car reached a half-open gate. A car could pass, but @ReviRderelprup hesitated and parked outside.
@Lkniyx went in alone instead. Only about 900 m to Jade Island, by eye.

@Lkniyx passed through the first iron gate. After 200 m, another gate appeared.
An ordinary enough gate; a very unordinary sign.
@Lkniyx could clearly read the white letters on red—
“Entering a military restricted area without authorization is illegal.” (Military restricted area; unauthorized entry prohibited.)
Yet that gate, too, was half open.
Though slightly doubtful, @Lkniyx plucked up his courage and continued.

Jade Island was finally appearing in the Scanner.
Just then, a Black man with short hair and a camouflage T-shirt approached on an e-bike. Seeing @Lkniyx, he immediately asked, “What are you here for?”
Taken aback, @Lkniyx said, “Nothing, just walked in by chance.”
They passed each other. @Lkniyx walked a few more meters; the man stopped, looked back, and said, “This is a military restricted area. You cannot be here.”
@Lkniyx dearly wanted to pretend he had not heard: another 200 m would put Jade Island within flipping range.
But 50 m ahead stood three barricades, the checkpoint kind. Beyond them, three men in gray-and-white camouflage and caps were also watching @Lkniyx.
Roughly like this: AI-generated illustration, details slightly different, but time, place, and people all represented.
Seeing he could not reach the Portal, @Lkniyx chose one soldier over three. He turned toward the Black man. “What did you say?”
The man repeated it, expressionless. “This is a military restricted area. You cannot be here.”
@Lkniyx began explaining: “Um, really? I didn’t know. It used to be a tourist site, right? And the gate is open, so…” (I didn’t know. Really? Wasn’t this a tourist area? The gate was open.)
The man said, “It was taken over five years ago. Now it’s restricted. Someone just went out; I’m about to close the gates.” (Not a tourist site for five years. Someone just left, so I’m here to lock up.)

All @Lkniyx could say was, “All right, all right, I understand. I’ll leave immediately.”
With that, he turned and retreated.
The man escorted @Lkniyx out, stopping once they passed the gate with the red-and-white sign.
@Lkniyx hurried on outside and, spotting @ReviRderelprup, told him to drive—now. He did not want another second in this damned place.
They reached NY at seven that evening, remembering that they had also left at exactly seven the previous night.
Nearly 500 kilometers in 24 hours, with under four hours’ sleep.
For the new blue agent @ReviRderelprup, this was an excessively hardcore introduction.

The two sighed over it all. Dinner together at NYU, then each went home.
It was eight Friday evening. @Lkniyx returned to his dorm, slept lightly for half an hour, and got up at nine sharp for the meeting.
At that moment, apart from assigning ground teams, blue’s tactical plan for the next day was still almost blank.
To distract ENL, @Lkniyx went out, listening to the many competing plans on Zoom while deploying nearby Frackers and pretending to farm Keys.
NYU’s new campus was only 40 kilometers from the Shard site. It did have some strategic geographic advantage.
The meeting started at nine and ended at one. At last, a rough plan existed.
Back at NYU at 1:30, @Lkniyx washed and went to bed.
@Lkniyx ’s log, Friday, May 30
1. Ate a bowl of old-Boston Korean noodles.
2. ENL restored Jade Island.
3. Wandered into a Restricted Area; never reached Jade Island at all.
4. Returned to NYU, pretended to farm Keys.
5. Listened to the planners discuss tactics.
A Day on Barnard College’s Playing Field
Barnard College, like NYU, is in NYC.
Its standard is pretty lousy too, ranked outside the US top twenty. Still, it constantly reminisces about its old alliance with Columbia.
On campus access, BC and NYU are completely different.
NYU takes a “no complaint, no investigation” approach: once someone ahead scans their face, the gate stays open three seconds—enough for five people to follow.
BC, by contrast, is fully guarded and tightly secured. A guard always verifies your identity at entry. Sneak in? Not a chance.

The point of arranging entry for the three Washington allies, including @DagenDeng, was precisely to use Barnard’s tight access controls.
Barnard was over 30 kilometers from the Shard spawn, so a jump there certainly would not score. But once the Shard arrived, blue would have a huge advantage.
Green could also find a student to sponsor entry, but @Lkniyx was confident he could legitimately bring in six people. They would not be outnumbered.
@Lkniyx arrived at Barnard’s playing field early, carrying a portable monitor, laptop, and a heap of power banks.
A thunderstorm passed through. He had to shelter beneath the stands.
Listening to battle reports on Zoom, he stayed from after ten until five. Meanwhile, @ReviRderelprup went out to several sites and delivered Keys.
In the end, Barnard was never used for the Shards. It did serve for temporary blockers two or three times.

Whatever. As long as he did not have to run all over the place.
Three consecutive days on less than five hours’ sleep,
A day off work, 500 kilometers traveled, an apology to a soldier,
And thirty dollars spent making a hundred name badges.
His cold had worsened across the board; by Friday his voice was gone.

@Lkniyx ’s log, Saturday, May 31—Shard battle day
1. 8–10: delivered Keys to N, A, S, D, P.
2. 10–5: guarded Barnard College.
3. 7–9: handed out name badges at the AfterParty.
About Jade Island
There are many restricted-access Portals. The company does not forbid nominations of places that are hard to reach.
For example, you can nominate a Portal at an Antarctic research station; to hack it, you must find a way aboard an Antarctic research vessel.
That is part of what makes Ssergni hardcore.
But—there is always a but.

In this Shard battle, compared with blue’s chemical-plant anchor Globe, green’s Jade Island had a far more serious problem.
For the former, @Lkniyx could at least organize a student visit to gain entry.
For the latter, @Lkniyx felt there was no excuse—and ought to be no excuse—to try entering. Should he abandon the pen for the sword and enlist, specifically requesting that base? (Yes, Scotfield deliberately robbed a bank and asked the court to send him to Fox River to rescue his brother. But that was a fucking television show.
Some green agents may point to another spoofed blue anchor, “Police Academy Canteen,” and say: isn’t that restricted too?
The difference is that, although it too relates to an institution of force, it is a college: an application can legitimately get you in.
Even climbing its wall at night would at most earn a reprimand, not a bullet.

But with Jade Island, even the idea of getting inside could bring an ordinary person trouble.
Whether walking past all those cameras or through the woods beside them, you would be handing over an excellent reason to shoot you.
Soldiers in the land of the free might empty a magazine at someone deliberately trespassing in a restricted area, mightn’t they?

Jade Island used to be a tourist site; its three surviving Portal photos offer a glimpse of that.
The old pictures showed many cars and people.
It is no longer like that.
Three photos, three green IDs; two are no longer in the system.
If Portals have a pedigree, Jade Island’s is hardly spotless.

Resistance agent @JP68001 recalls entering Jade Island through a hole with another blue agent before dawn in April 2019, for the Dark XM achievement medal.
It was already closed off then, with the red-and-white sign in place, but they encountered no other obstruction and saw none of the cameras along the way.
By that timeline, Jade Island was already a restricted area in 2019, six years earlier.
Perhaps restrictions were looser then, and it was late at night, explaining why they saw neither cameras nor other obstacles.

So @Lkniyx cannot help asking:
During these six years since it ceased to be a tourist site, how did ENL’s @DHQyhpruM, or anyone else, get in?
In particular, how did @DHQyhpruM enter at 1 p.m. on May 30, the day before Shards, and restore the Jade Island hit by a blue spoofer?

As a straight answer is unlikely, we can only examine two possibilities:
1. He entered openly and legitimately, meaning ENL’s @DHQyhpruM belongs to the restricted facility:
Then here is the question: colluding with outsiders from a US military restricted area and leaking military secrets—aren’t you afraid of a court-martial?
Ssergni is an LBS game developed by Wawei in that great eastern nation. From such a critical position, you side with outsiders—would President Trump approve?
Moreover, ENL’s @DHQyhpruM is even this Portal’s Scout Controller.
As everyone knows, scanning was introduced in 2020. By then, Jade Island was already under military control.
Imagine, then, ENL’s @DHQyhpruM taking out a phone capable of connecting directly to the eastern nation and slowly scanning the restricted terrain.
Uploading the data for modeling in Ssergni’s database at the East’s famous Wawei company—heaven knows how many regulations that would breach.
Someone of that status acting that way— Isn’t the contradiction itself already outrageously absurd?

Based on the facts above and a little common sense, here is @Lkniyx’s theory about Jade Island:
Once, Jade Island was simply a beach tourist site.
ENL nominated it and, because it was remote, treated it as an anchor.
Keys were farmed and distributed; East Coast green agents each had several.
The nearest town was twenty kilometers away; from a major city, the trip was over a hundred.
Not impossibly remote, but enough for a strategic Portal.
But by at least 2019, Jade Island became a restricted area, and green could no longer enter either.
At that moment, ENL’s @DHQyhpruM appeared, becoming the sole person who could get in.
Yet the green agents who knew did not care, continuing to use—and even take pride in—an anchor that could bring trouble to both sides.
@Lkniyx does not know which green agents besides @DHQyhpruM were involved.
But on this matter, @DHQyhpruM certainly cannot escape responsibility.

If an uninformed green agent was told,
“Jade Island is rock solid. Here are ten Keys; link whenever you get the chance,”

When the performance reached the Overlord’s night banquet, the youth said enviously: “How could a man not wish to live like that!” Xiaoxiu replied: “This scene is staged only for the sake of that ending at the Wu River.” Those present admired the insight of his words. Only someone who understands this meaning may be allowed to read Jin Ping Mei. Otherwise Shigong would almost become the worst of those who lead others into lust and desire. @LkniyxはニューヨークのRESだ。2016〜2018年のゲーム最盛期を逃した、ニューヨークのRESである。
今のBig Appleで、最後のアクティブな青エージェントかもしれない。
先日、@LkniyxはNeuraLink脳波搬送で、地球の反対側にいる天津RESの@Xyinklへ本稿を送った。
@Xyinklは読んで大いに感心し、翻訳して皆に届けることにした。青も緑も、位置偽装屋も、何かしら味わっていただければと思う。
詩に曰く、
誰もが閑暇はよいと言う。暇を得て、誰が身を休めよう。休めぬわけではないけれど、シャードはただ事ではない。

序章
ニューヨークは、かつて緑の街だった。
2018年、@LkniyxがBoostedBoardの電動スケートボードを携えて戻ってくるまでは。以後、ニューヨークは次第に緑から青へ変わった。
今では@Lkniyxだけが毎日ログインしてログを残し、@Anihcamと愛憎相半ばする戦いを続けている。
かつて活発だった緑のIDはますます見かけなくなり、通りかかった緑Portalを壊すのも惜しいほどになった。

過去の青緑の争いは耳にしたことがあるが、確かめようがない。古参も新人もいない。一人で遊び、まるでオフラインゲームのようだった。
@Lkniyxの出発点はNYUの学内という好立地で、レベルはすぐ上がった。今では4億AP、9回のリカージョンを重ね、紛れもない古参だ。ちなみに2017年にはNYU中央のNY広場へシャードが落ちたが、当時@LkniyxはAFK中で、その盛況を完全に逃した。ワシントンの青も緑も総出で駆けつけ、NY広場は色とりどりににぎわったという。

戦略プレイをしないので、ニューヨーク周辺の戦略Portalを詳しく調べたことはなかった。ただ、東へ50kmのロングビーチにGlobeというPortalがあり、RESの@Ppauziだけが入れて、ほかの青緑は行っても門前払いされる、と知っていた。
ワシントン、ボストン、フィラデルフィアなど近隣都市の味方が、ときどきGlobeのKeyをくれたので、@Lkniyxも機会があれば1、2本Linkを張った。
以上、序に代えて。
LAシャード
5月24日、@Lkniyxは遠路カリフォルニアへシャード戦に参加しに行った。カリフォルニアの風情をたっぷり味わった。
帰る前、グループで願掛けした。「西海岸にLAシャードがあるなら、東海岸にもあっていい！DCは官僚的すぎて向かない。NYにシャードを歓迎！」
まさか、その言葉が現実になるとは。
ブーメラン
5月28日、水曜の昼、NYシャードが発表された。しかも出現地点は、ちょうど青の戦略拠点Globeだった。
ブーメランが、しっかり頭に突き刺さった。
複数のチャットアプリの各グループで何度も呼ばれ、@Lkniyxは困り始めた。
理由は簡単。NYの地元アクティブ勢は、どう数えても@Lkniyxと@Anihcamの2人だけ。
準備できる丸一日は木曜と金曜の2日だけ。どうシャード戦をするのか。どう戦前準備をするのか。
つい1週間前、カリフォルニアの@Dadxofは会場周辺で3日3晩も準備していて、ひどく大変そうだった。

車があり、比較的活動している唯一の地元仲間@IldrahciRに連絡したが、テキサス旅行中との返事。
これでは、自分は運転しないし、地元の味方の助けもない。まさに孤立無援だ。
毎日食事の約束を楽しみ、NY RESの会食皇帝を自称する@Omomuinを頼るしかないのか？
（後で分かったが、呼んでも無駄だった。会食皇帝は先住民の集落を巡り、先史時代の遺跡を視察中だった。
まず4つのグループを作る
もういい。何をするにも、まず人集めだ。
来る人、来るかもしれない人は4群［全体］へ。60人。
車を持つ人、車で来る人は3群［車主］へ。13人。
東海岸のアクティブなRESリーダーたちは2群［連絡］へ。9人。
最後に1群［企画・Intel］を作った。10人。
ほかのシャード戦でどうグループを作るかは知らないが、何となく4つできた。
当日はZoomが必要だと言われ、10ドルが消えた。（単に無料版に時間制限があるからだ。
Globeへ入ろうとして失敗
シャード出現地点は後に近くの公園のPortal、Turtleへ移された。
しかしGlobeにはまだ多くのLinkがあり、長年の青の戦略拠点でもあった。東海岸の大勢がKeyを持っていた。
元の所有者に連絡してGlobeへ入り、しっかり守って正午の第1ジャンプでシャードを送れれば、第2ジャンプは青のホームになる。非常に有利なはずだ。
残念ながら元の所有者@Ppauziとは音信不通で、どんな方法でも連絡がつかなかった。

企画班が徹底的に調べ、ようやくGlobeが化学工場の敷地内にあると分かった。
門からは近く、100mほど。だが安全のため、化学工場の入場手続きは厳しい。
「トイレを借りる」「出前」「物件の内見」「中にいる兄に会う」といった、よくある口実では入れない。
@Ppauziが何年も維持できたのは、そのためかもしれない。

仕方ない。自分で方法を考えるしかない。@LkniyxもNYで十数年暮らし、探せばつてはあった。（アメリカも人情社会だったとは。）
あれこれ探し、工場の親会社の人につながった。
だが理由が必要だ。「土曜は暇なので、無関係の化学工場でくつろぎたい」などと言えるか？誰が信じるのか。
@Wobniarwonsの提案で、@Lkniyxは「遠縁の子が化学工学専攻で就職活動中なので、業界の職場環境を見学したい」という話をでっち上げた。
口実ができ、@LkniyxはNetworking、別名つて探しの電話を始めた。
相手は理由を受け入れたが、こう続けた。「時期が悪い。先週GoldMillの化学工場で爆発があり、今は管理が厳しいんです。学生の団体見学なら会議で通せば、おそらく問題ありません。でも1人だけというのは、現実的ではないですね」。
自信満々だった@Lkniyxも、そこで手詰まりになった。
学生1、2人なら見つけられるし、互いに利益もある。卒業間近の学生がいろいろ見て回るのは、悪いことではない。
だが3日後の11時から2時へ、20人規模でさえ見学をぴったり組むとなると、遠い東の大国が特殊な事情で小規模動員するくらいでなければ難しそうだ。しかも、その日はちょうど連休初日だった。

水曜夜、ENLの@KiinaveがGlobeをレゾネーターわずかまで削り、全Linkが落ちた。
これで青は入れないうえ、Globeへ送ってランダムジャンプに賭けることもできなくなった。
状況は明らかに悪い。こちらは機動要員も行動案もなく、相手は先手を打ち、行動力も非常に高そうだった。
こうなったらNameCardを作ろう
先週のLAシャードには名札がなかった。
確かに時間は厳しく、間に合わないかもしれない。
それでも@LkniyxはAdobe一式を使いこなせた。
水曜夜、Globeへの「パスコード」は手に入らないと分かり、11時から名札を作り始め、完成は午前3時だった。
[1～5km]＋1点；[100km以上]＋3点完成。今日の昼に印刷する。津南／葛沽／小站／団泊／中塘／小王荘
こうしてNYシャードのRES名札ができた。水曜唯一の成果だったかもしれない。

木曜未明、ENLの@Reliartratsが幽霊のように周辺300km以内の数か所へ次々現れ、多数のBlockを張った。
ENLの勤勉さを見た@Lkniyxは金曜の休暇を取り、仕事机に戻ってグループに入り浸りながら、最重要の緑拠点Jade Islandを落とす方法を企画班と相談した。
青のGlobeはすでに使えない。Jade Islandを放置すれば、緑がシャードを送った時点で、ほぼ青の負けだった。

午後、グループへ突然悪い知らせ。Jade Islandが「青」に攻撃されたという。
IDを見れば明らかに位置偽装で、しかも@Lkniyxが以前から観察し記録していた青の位置偽装アカウントだった。
グループは少し混乱した。これでは、どう身の潔白を示すのか。
@Lkniyxの頭を、ある言葉がよぎった。「X組織は、先ほどYで起きたテロ攻撃に責任を負わない」。
（あの言葉はこういう意味なのか。周囲には自分の仕業と思われていても、本当に違うなら、そう言うことはできるし、それしか言えない。）
RESには確かにJade Islandを落とす計画があり、人と車も用意し、衛星写真も詳しく調べ、地元の漁師の連絡先まで準備していた。（島なのだから、陸路が駄目なら水路を考えていた。

しかし、こんな形でJade Islandが落ちるとは、企画班にとって完全な不意打ちだった。
一つで終わらず、いや、五つだった。Jade Islandを落としたもの以外にも、青3、緑1の計4つの位置偽装アカウントが確認された。
これでは本当に「飛行機大戦」だ。青4：緑1。
@Lkniyxは、この緑の位置偽装がENL全体の決定ではなかったと信じたい。青4つも、RES企画班の意思ではなかったのと同様に。
相談の末、企画班は、すでに落ちていてもJade Islandへ人を送るべきだと決めた。
人を行かせなければ、濡れ衣は確定だ。（もちろん、翌日に人が行っても、緑の記事では濡れ衣を着せられたのだが。）
天から降ってきた青の新人、最もハードな入門の一日
そこで、一度しか会ったことのないLevel 5の青い新人@ReviRderelprupから、@Lkniyxへ連絡が来た。
今週末にイベントがあると聞いたけれど？金曜は空いていそうなので、何か手伝えるという。
天は@Lkniyxを助けた。@ReviRderelprupがいなければ、@Lkniyxが自分でレンタカーを借りることになっただろう。
（免許取得から6年、実走500km未満。さすがに心もとない。）
突然、運転できる仲間ができたのは、ありがたい。まだレベル5ではあるけれど。
@Lkniyxは言った。「木曜の仕事帰りにNYU新キャンパスへ来て。まず8まで上げよう」。
身分証も持ってきて。夜は外泊するかもしれない。
一度しか会っていない2人には、少し妙な誘いだ。それでも@ReviRderelprupは了承した。

一方、NYの別のRES、@Ydnaceruzaからも返事があった。最近はワシントンにいて、土曜にシャード戦へ来る予定だったという。
今は時間があるというので、@Lkniyxは列車の切符1枚でニューヨークへ引っ張ってきた。
木曜午後4時半、仕事を終えた@Lkniyxは@ReviRderelprupと合流し、レベル8への引き上げを始めた。
その後@Ydnaceruzaを拾い、シャードPortalのTurtleでKeyを200本集めた。
集め終えると、もう午前1時。

3人でさらにボストンへ。@Ydnaceruzaは自宅へ戻り、その後ボストンで機動対応する。
偶然にも@Lkniyxの実家もボストンだったが、家には帰れず、
@ReviRderelprupと部屋を取り、3時に寝た。

1. 青4、緑1、計5つの位置偽装アカウントが出現。

朝鮮麺一杯、そしてJade Islandへの迷入
金曜朝7時、@Lkniyxが起きた。@ReviRderelprupはさらに早く起き、仕事を片付けていた。
@Lkniyxがグループを見ると、もう金曜なのに戦術はまだ決まっていなかった。
ベッドにうつ伏せのまま、@Uohzavaracと@Reggibelgnaに戦略Keyの集計と班分けを頼んだ。
さらに@Redanomelへ、到着と交通の注意事項を書いてもらった。
3人の戦前支援に心から感謝する。

金曜朝9時、3人が集まり、ボストン名物の朝食、朝鮮麺を食べに行った。
伝統的な朝鮮冷麺の変種だ。熱い麺に塩味、少しの白菜キムチ。最高！昔ながらのボストンっ子はみんな好きだ。
残念ながら最初の店は本格的すぎて、1時間近く探しても駐車場所が見つからなかった。
仕方なく別の店へ。こちらは特色ある「ペンシルベニア風ボストン朝鮮麺」。まさに各地の長所の融合だ。
食べ終えると、もう正午近かった。@Lkniyxと@ReviRderelprupが出発した。
まずボストン駅とボストン北駅の緑Portalを落とし、それから本格的にJade Islandへ向かった。

距離は長くなく、150kmほど。@ReviRderelprupが運転し、@Lkniyxは後部座席でノートPCを開いて作業を続けた。
ついでに@Dagendengらワシントンの味方3人の、バーナード・カレッジ入構申請をした。（バーナードの話は後で。
何しろバーナードの卒業予定者だ。親族や友人の入構申請はしやすかった。

まだ道半ばの午後1時過ぎ、新しい知らせが届いた。ENLの@DHQyhpruMがJade Islandを復旧したという。
グループでは、復旧してくれてよかった、こちらはもう向かっているのだから、改めて落とせば緑も文句を言えない、と考えた。

3時半ごろ、2人は地図に「Restricted access」、一般立ち入り不可と記されたJade Islandへ着いた。
車で門へ来ると、半分開いていた。車は通れたが、@ReviRderelprupはためらい、外へ止めた。
代わりに@Lkniyxが1人で入った。見たところJade Islandまで残り900m。

@Lkniyxは最初の鉄門を通った。200m進むと、別の門があった。
門は普通だが、看板は普通ではない。
赤地に白い文字で、@Lkniyxにははっきり読めた。
「Entering a military restricted area without authorization is illegal.」（軍事立入禁止区域への無断立ち入りは違法です。）
とはいえ、その門も確かに半分開いていた。
少し疑問を感じながらも、@Lkniyxは勇気を出して進んだ。

不意を突かれた@Lkniyxは、「Nothing, just walked in by chance.」（何でもない、たまたま通りかかっただけ）と答えた。
すれ違い、@Lkniyxが数メートル進むと、男性が止まって振り返った。「This is military restricted area, you can not be here」（ここは軍事管理区域だ。入ってはいけない）。
@Lkniyxは聞こえないふりをしたかった。あと200m進めばJade Islandを反転できたのだから。
しかし前方50mには、検問所のような車止めが3列あった。その向こうでは、灰白の迷彩服と帽子を着けた3人も@Lkniyxを見ていた。
状況は大体こんな感じ。AI生成画像で細部は少し違うが、時刻、場所、人物はそろっている。
Portalに届かないと悟った@Lkniyxは、兵士3人より1人を選んだ。黒人男性へ振り返り、「What did you say?」（何と言いました？）。
男性は無表情で繰り返した。「This is military restricted area, you can not be here」（軍事管理区域だ。入ってはいけない）。
@Lkniyxは弁解を始めた。「Emm, really? I dont know, It used to be a tourist site,right? And the door is open, so」（知らなかった。本当に？ここは観光地だったでしょう。門も開いていたし）。

@Lkniyxは急いで外へ歩き、@ReviRderelprupを見つけると、すぐ車で逃げようと呼びかけた。こんな場所には、もう1秒もいたくない。
NYに戻ると夜7時。前夜に出発したのも、ちょうど7時だったと思い出した。
24時間で約500kmを走り、睡眠は4時間未満。
新人の@ReviRderelprupには、あまりにハードな入門体験だった。

バーナード・カレッジの運動場での一日
バーナード・カレッジは、NYUと同じくNYCにある。
水準もひどいもので、全米20位以内にも入らない。それでも何かにつけて昔を振り返り、コロンビアと組んだ同盟がどうだったと語る。
入構管理については、BCとNYUはまったく違う。
NYUは「訴えがなければ取り締まらない」方式。前の人が顔認証で入れば、ゲートが開く3秒で5人は続ける。
BCは違う。警備が行き届き、門戸は厳重だ。入る際には必ず警備員が身元を確認する。紛れ込む？門も開かない。

@DagenDengらワシントンの3人に入構申請をしたのは、まさにこの厳重さを利用するためだった。
バーナードはシャード出現地点から30km以上離れており、飛んできても得点にはならない。しかし一度入れば、青は大きく有利になる。
緑も学生に入構申請を頼めるが、@Lkniyxは合法的かつ正当に6人を入れられる自信があった。人数では負けない。
@Lkniyxは朝早く、モバイルモニター、ノートPC、大量のバッテリーを持ってバーナードの運動場へ来た。
途中、雷雨が降った。観客席の骨組みの下へ避難するしかなかった。
Zoomの戦況報告を聞きながら、10時過ぎから5時まで守った。その間、@ReviRderelprupはいくつかの地点を回り、Keyを届けた。
結局、シャードにバーナードを使うことはなかった。一時的なBlockには2、3回使った。

もうどうでもいい。あちこち走り回らずに済めば。
3日連続で睡眠5時間未満、
仕事を1日休み、500km走り、兵士にSorryと言い、
さらに30ドルで名札を100枚作った。
風邪は全面的に悪化し、金曜には声がかれていた。

Jade Islandについて
立ち入りが制限されたPortalは多い。公式は、到達しづらい場所の申請を禁じてはいない。
たとえば南極観測基地にPortalを申請できる。そこをハックしたければ、南極観測船に乗る方法を考えなければならない。
それもSsergniのハードなところだ。
しかし、いつも「しかし」がある。

今回のシャード戦で、化学工場内の青拠点Globeと比べ、緑拠点Jade Islandの問題ははるかに深刻だった。
前者なら、@Lkniyxは学生見学を組んで入ることができる。
後者には、入ろうとする口実などなく、あってもならないと@Lkniyxは思う。筆を捨てて軍に入り、あの基地を名指しで希望するのか？（確かにScotfieldはわざと銀行強盗をして、兄を救うため法廷でFox River刑務所を希望した。でも、あれはドラマだろうが。
ENLの中には、同じく位置偽装で落とされた青拠点「Police Academy Canteen」を挙げ、これも閉鎖Portalではないかと言う人もいるだろう。
違いは、そこも実力組織には関わるが、あくまで学校であり、申請すれば正当に入れることだ。
夜中に壁を越えても、せいぜい注意や指導で、弾丸を食らうことはない。

しかしJade Islandでは、入りたいと思うこと自体が、一般人に厄介事を招く。
あのカメラ群の前を進もうと、脇の林を抜けようと、撃たれる格好の理由を作ることになる。
自由の国アメリカの兵士が、故意に禁止区域へ入る者に弾倉を空にすることだって、ありうるのでは？

Jade Islandは元は観光地だった。残る3枚のPortal写真から、その一端がうかがえる。
昔の写真には、車も人も多い。
だが今は、もう違う。
写真3枚、緑のID3つ。そのうち2つは、すでにシステム内にいない。
Portalにも身元があるなら、Jade Islandは潔白とは言いがたい。

RESの@JP68001の記憶では、2019年4月のある未明、Dark XM実績メダルのため、もう1人の青と穴をくぐってJade Islandへ入ったという。
その時点ですでに閉鎖され、赤地に白の看板もあったが、ほかに妨げはなく、道中のカメラも見なかったという。
この時点から考えると、さらに前の6年前、2019年にはすでに禁止区域だった。
当時は規制がまだ緩く、深夜でもあったため、カメラも障害も目にしなかったのかもしれない。

そこで@Lkniyxは、問わずにいられない。
観光地でなくなってから6年間、ENLの@DHQyhpruMや、ほかの人はどう入ったのか？
特にシャード戦前日の5月30日午後1時、@DHQyhpruMはどう入って、青の位置偽装アカウントに落とされたJade Islandを復旧したのか？

正面からの答えはおそらく来ないので、次の2通りに分けて考えるしかない。
1. 堂々と入った。つまりENLの@DHQyhpruMは、この管理区域の関係者だ。
それなら、米軍禁止区域で外部と内通し、軍事機密を漏らして、軍法会議が怖くないのか？
Ssergniは東の大国の「挖為」が開発したLBSゲームだ。そんな重要な場所にいて、外へ肩入れして、Trump大統領は許すだろうか？
しかもENLの@DHQyhpruMは、このPortalのScout Controllerでもある。
ご存じのとおり、スキャン機能の登場は2020年。その時点でJade Islandはすでに軍の管理下だった。
では想像してみよう。ENLの@DHQyhpruMが東の大国へ直接つながるスマホを取り出し、禁止区域の地理環境をゆっくりスキャンする。
東の有名企業「挖為」のSsergniデータベースへアップロードし、モデル化する。いくつの規則に反するのか、神のみぞ知る。
その立場で、そんな行為をすること。それ自体が、あまりにも矛盾し、途方もなくおかしくないか？

2. ENLの@DHQyhpruMも「飛んで」、つまり位置偽装で入っている。
それなら問題は、6年間も位置偽装でこの戦略Portalを維持し、
手段は不正、結果は危険という行為をまったく気にしていないのに、
ENLはどの面を下げて木曜午前3時に記事を出し、
突然現れた青の位置偽装がJade Islandを落としたと、怒り狂って罵れるのか？

さらに、位置偽装かどうかにかかわらず、ENLの@DHQyhpruM、こんな可能性を考えたことはあるだろうか。
この実に政治的に正しいアメリカで、青緑を問わず、向こう見ずなエージェントが、
あなたが維持するJade Islandへ入ろうとして、何らかの暴力を受け、何らかの代償を払ったとしたら。
拘束され、収容所へ送られ、「歩く7万ドルの懸賞金」と決めつけられ、弾丸を食らう、といったことだ。
罪悪感は、まったくないのか？
尋問で、その人があなたの名を話したなら。
あなたの存在を隠す理由はないだろう。それこそが、Jade Islandへ行こうとした唯一の理由なのだから。
いつまで自分だけ無事でいられるのか？
軍紀調査と内部粛清になるはずだ。
5月30日午後1時前後にJade Islandへ出入りしたのは何人か？本当に調べにくいだろうか？

そんな状況なら、自分は純粋な位置偽装屋だった、と願うべきかもしれない。
そうなら仮想空間で悪名を背負うだけで、現実の結果は何もないからだ。

以上の事実と少しの常識から、@LkniyxはJade Islandについてこう推測する。
かつてJade Islandは、海辺の観光地にすぎなかった。
ENLが申請し、遠隔地なので戦略拠点にした。
Keyを集めて配り、東海岸のENLは皆数本ずつ持った。
最寄りの町でも20km、大都市からなら100km以上かかる。
遠すぎるわけではないが、戦略Portalになるには十分だ。
しかし遅くとも2019年から管理区域となり、ENLも入れなくなった。
そこでENLの@DHQyhpruMが現れ、入れる唯一の人になった。
事情を知るENLは気に留めず、双方に厄介事を招きかねないPortalを戦略拠点として使い続け、誇りにさえしていた。
@Lkniyx には、@DHQyhpruM 以外にどのENLが関わったか分からない。
しかしこの件で、@DHQyhpruM に責任がないとは到底言えない。

事情を知らないENLが、
「Jade Islandは安泰。Keyを10本あげるから、機会があれば遠慮なくLinkして」と言われたなら、
味方を信じるのは自然だと@Lkniyxは思う。
今回のシャード戦でもなければ、戦略プレイヤーでもない人が、自陣営で長年維持しているPortalを見に、100km以上運転して行くだろうか？
（@Lkniyxも7年たち、今回のシャード戦で初めてGlobeが化学工場内だと知ったのだから。）

@Lkniyxは「緑は全員XMに脳を侵された位置偽装屋」と信じたくないし、「青は全員高潔で正直なプレイヤー」とも思わない。

だからこそ、@LkniyxはENLの皆さんに呼びかけたい。
「目をよく開いて、Keyをくれる古参のENLを見てほしい。
Jade IslandがこういうPortalだと今初めて知り、
こんなPortalを使うのは格好よくない、むしろ怖いと感じるなら、
しっかり考えるべきだ。
一線が怪しい味方と、今後どう向き合うかを」。

同時に、@Lkniyx はすべてのRESにも言いたい。
「位置偽装も、軍管理の閉鎖Portalも、ENLだけのものでは決してない。
人は、どちらがよりひどいかを競って、いわゆる勝利を追うべきではない」。

最後に@Lkniyxは、禁止区域へPortalを申請して長期利用しようとする青緑の全員、そして位置偽装をする誰に対しても、厳粛に言いたい――

また『金瓶梅』の序文を思い出し、深くうなずいた。LA、NYのシャード戦で出会うさまざまな人も、皆このとおりではないか。

『金瓶梅』は猥書である。袁石公がしきりに称賛したのも、自らの憤懣を託しただけで、書中のありさまをよしとしたのではない。
とはいえ作者にも意図がある。世を戒めるためであり、世に勧めるためではない。多くの女がいるのに潘金蓮、李瓶児、春梅だけから名を取ったのは、楚の史書『檮杌』と同じ趣旨である。金蓮は姦によって死に、瓶児は業によって死に、春梅は淫によって死ぬ。他の女たちよりも悲惨だからだ。
西門慶を借りて世の大悪役を、応伯爵を借りて世の小道化を、淫らな女たちを借りて世の女道化や女悪役を描き、読者に冷や汗をかかせる。
世を戒めるのであり、世に勧めるのではない。
私はかつて言った。『金瓶梅』を読んで憐れみを覚える者は菩薩であり、
恐れを覚える者は君子であり、
喜びを覚える者は小人であり、
まねようと思う者は、ただの禽獣である。
友人の褚孝秀が、ある若者と歌舞の宴へ赴いた。演目が覇王の夜宴に至ると、若者は羨ましげに「男なら、こう生きずにいられようか！」と言った。孝秀は「これも、あの烏江の結末があるからこそ設けられた場面だ」と答えた。同席の者は、道理を得た言葉だと感嘆した。この意味を知る者にこそ、『金瓶梅』を読むことを許せる。そうでなければ石公は、淫欲へ導く最たる者になりかねない。世の人に勧める。西門慶の車の後を追い、同じ轍を踏んではならぬ。
さらに詩に曰く、
禁苑に深く潜むは善き道にあらず、浮雲と幻影は真心を惑わす。
私欲を公の計りごととすれば、虚名はついに衆生を苦しめる。
帳の裏に策なく、ついに事を誤る。三軍は恨みを抱き、その生を損なう。
己を省みてこそ遊びの道を得る。一念まことに戻れば、万事は澄む。
